ClubSpotting with Mickey Quinn

In the late noughties, the AFL intensified their acquisition of some Ireland's top young GAA stars. One of those was Killoe and Longford's Mickey Quinn. Joining Essendon Bombers he immediately made an impact and within weeks made his debut in the AFL, beating the record held by Down's Martin Clarke for the quickest debut by an Irish player. His return to Ireland in 2012 was a welcome one in his hometown and county. His impact was felt immediately, helping Longford gain promotion to Division 2 and also helped his club bridge a 17 year gap to claim the Sean Connolly cup once again. Now on the verge of a historic 3 in a row with his club and a possible 6th medal in his pocket, Quinn is showing the hunger within him is as strong as ever. This week we went to Killoe Emmet Óg GAA Club to go ClubSpotting with Mickey Quinn.
