ClubSpot and Sport for Business Launch 30 Under 30 Volunteers in Sport
Today, ClubSpot and Sport for Business have launched the ClubSpot Sport for Business 30 Under 30 Young Volunteers in Sport, a new national programme recognising 30 outstanding young volunteers from clubs.
ClubSpot is proud to be founding partner of this initiative.
The programme builds on ten years of the Sport for Business PwC 30 Under 30, which has recognised rising talent in the business of sport. This new initiative extends that same recognition into grassroots sport, celebrating the volunteers who make that sport possible in the first place.
Why This Matters
Every club depends on volunteers, and a huge amount of that work is done by people under 30. They coach teams, referee matches, run committees, manage club social media, organise fundraisers, look after facilities and do the dozens of other jobs that keep a club running week to week.
Most of that work goes unseen outside the club itself. This programme is about changing that.
There's no requirement around what nominees do for a living. Students, apprentices, teachers, nurses, tradespeople, whatever their day job, this is about what they give to sport in their own time.
To be eligible for the inaugural 2026 programme, nominees must have been born on or after 1 January 1997.
How To Nominate
Clubs and sporting organisations across every code are invited to put forward the young volunteers who make things happen behind the scenes.
Nominations can cover any part of club life, coaching, officiating, administration, communications, fundraising, safeguarding, event delivery, facilities and more. What matters is impact and leadership, not length of service.
A panel from ClubSpot and Sport for Business will select the inaugural 30, and each of them will be profiled through both organisations over the months ahead.

Behind every functioning club is someone who said yes when nobody else did. This programme is a chance to say thank you to 30 of them, and to show other young people that volunteering in sport is worth their time.
Nominations are open now. The final 30 will be announced later this year.
